Quick Access Toolbar in MS Word – 2022’s Imaginative

Quickly access any command by adding or removing (customizing) the commands such as Save, Undo, Redo, Cut, or Copy to or from the quick access toolbar.

The Quick Access Toolbar is located at the top left corner of the title bar. By default, the Quick Access Toolbar contains a set of three commands, such as Save, Undo, and Redo. These are discussed underneath the picture.

Getting Started to Customize the Quick Access Toolbar Now

Method 1: Adding Commands

To add commands to the Quick Access Toolbar, follow the steps below.

Click on the Drop-down arrow of the Quick Access Toolbar  (Customize Quick Access Toolbar) as shown in the first step of the picture below.
Then select one of the Commands you want to add
Look at the newly added command in the step 3 of the picture given below.

Method-2: Adding Commands:

To add more commands, which are not in the Quick Access Toolbar, do the following.

Click on the drop-down arrow of the (Customize) Quick Access Toolbar
Then click on the “More Commands“.

Click on the drop-down arrow which is given under “Choose commands from” to select the commands from various sources.
From the list of Commands, select the commands you want.
Then click on the Add or Double click the command to add.
Now the commands are added. Look at the 6th step of a picture.
Then click OK.

Method-3: Adding Commands:

  1. Right click on any one of the commands that are presented in any group, on any tab
  2. Then click on the “Add to Quick Access Toolbar” to add it to the Quick Access Toolbar.

Removing Commands from the Quick Access Toolbar:

Follow the steps given below to remove commands directly from the quick access toolbar:

Right-click on any command of the quick access toolbar as shown in the picture above
Then click the (first option) “Remove From Quick Access Toolbar”.

Click on the drop-down arrow of the (Customize) Quick Access Toolbar
Under the Customize Quick Access Toolbar, from the commands list, deselect the selected commands you want to remove from the Quick Access Toolbar.

Hide or Unhide the Quick Access Toolbar:

Double-click on any one of the tabs such as a Home, Insert, Design, Layout, ReferencesMailingsReview, and View to hide or unhide Quick Access Toolbar. Or use Ribbon Display Options icon which you can see on the top right corner of the title bar.
